One of the region's most fascinating attractions is the world famous Whisky Trail. Speyside is home to seven working malt whisky distilleries including Strahisla, Glen Grant and Glenfiddich. Each of the distilleries on the tour gives the visitor an overview of its traditions, the distilling process, through to its unique end produce.

The Aberdeenshire countryside is visually stunning and geographically diverse. From quaint and historic villages through to its rugged coastline with miles of unspoilt sandy beaches, the county truly has something for everyone. Traditional fishing villages with working harbours and abundant birdlife, live side by side with vibrant towns and rolling landscapes.

Huntly Castle The list of places to visit is endless and covers attractions such as the Museum of Scottish Lighthouses in Fraserburgh, Crathes Castle in Banchory, Arden Country Park in Mintlaw, and of course Huntly's own treasures including Huntly Castle, Leith Hall and Garden and the Peregrine Centre. The Peregrine Centre is run through the Forestry Commission and entry is free. Visitors can observe the Peregrine's can observe Peregrine falcons in their natural habitat either via the enclosed CCTV or or by accompanying one of the Foresters through the forest to the hide to observe them using the binoculars supplied. Aberdeenshire is packed full of stunning countryside and places to visit and contains many varieties of wildlife species that make it their home.

For those wishing to see some of the country's most magnificent landscapes, the Cairngorms National Park provides wildlife and stunning scenery in abundance. It is the UK's largest National Park and contains the largest area of artic mountain landscape in Britain.

Huntly Nordic Ski Centre is Britain's only purpose-built all-weather facility for cross-country skiing, providing tuition at all levels from novice to elite. Huntly Nordic & Outdoor Centre is a wooden lodge in a delightful setting, with 400m of all-weather classic mat, 30m x 6m downhill matting and 800m of tarmac rollerski track. They use high level forest trails in the Clashindarroch Forest, 13 miles from the centre, when they have snow.
Whilst staying at Dunedin you will find the historic market town of Huntly both charming and delightful in equal measure. With a vibrant mix of shops, restaurants and community spirit the town and its premier guest house will look forward to welcoming you back again and again.
